The opportunity of playing for Manchester City only comes to the very best. English champions Man City have made a habit of signing of top-class talent in recent years. Bayern Munich forward and Germany international Jamal Musiala undoubtedly falls into the bracket of top class players who fit the profile City need.
After the Cityzens were knocked out by Real Madrid on penalties in the Champions League, rumors surrounding yet another top signing has entered the mix. It was no secret that City wanted Brazilian winger Lucas Paqueta last summer. The move was all but done, but last-minute complications saw the Brazilian remain at West Ham United.
Even though Paqueta remains as an option, Pep Guardiola now wants more options in attacking midfield. Musiala has therefore has been revealed as the Cityzens’ top target for this summer.

Musiala has been impressive for Bayern this season, even though he was relatively silent in his side’s Champions League tie vs Arsenal.
Reigning UCL Champions Manchester City were forced to say goodbye to their title defense as ‘kings’ of the competition Real Madrid came out on top after penalties. The two sides were inseparable in regulation time over both legs, as the aggregate score read 4-4. Even though City looked the more threatening of the two sides over two legs, it was Real that booked their spot against Bayern.
Rodrygo Goes gave Real the early lead at the Etihad in the beginning of the first half. Following the goal, Madrid quickly switched to defensive mode, as they withheld incessant attempts from a determined City side. Kevin De Bruyne eventually fired the hosts level and forced extra-time.

In the penalty shootout that ensued, Real Madrid keeper Andriy Lunin dropped a career-defining performance to deny City a chance to lift back to back UCL. Carlo Ancelotti admitted that defending like they did was the ‘only’ way to overcome City. Madrid will face Bayern Munich in the semi-finals, after the latter beat Arsenal at the Allianz Arena 3-2 on aggregate.
