Kyrgios sat for a chat with Naomi Osaka on his talk show, Good Trouble. The two players talked about a range of things, including the Australian’s win over Nadal in 2014. Osaka asked Kyrgios if it took time for him to digest that win. To this, Kyrgios explained his feelings and gave an affirmative answer.

I think about how I didn't give my full self to the game. I wasn't super professional, I wasn't training all the time and it kind of just happened. I mean, beating Rafa, I was ranked like 150 in the world and he was World No. 1...I almost wanted to show everyone that you could do it, just get there and rattle the scene and beat the best in the world...I guess I have had plenty of time to digest it. Not just Rafael Nadal, Nick Kyrgios has registered wins against the remaining two players of the Big Three as well. While Kyrgios has managed to beat Nadal three times in nine meetings, the Australian has defeated Roger Federer only once in seven meetings.

Meanwhile, against Novak Djokovic, he leads the head-to-head record 2-1. His only defeat came at the Wimbledon final in 2022. Nevertheless, the Aussie has managed to create a sensation with his memorable performances on the court.

Although his attitude is always in question, Kyrgios manages to cover it up with his skills. The Australian has an impressive win-loss record. Kyrgios has managed 205 wins in his career against 114 losses. But a Grand Slam title has eluded the flamboyant tennis player.

Now, Kyrgios is not even competing on the tour with injuries holding him back. Although there are hopes for a comeback, the timeline is not yet confirmed.
